No matter where I am I have friends who are half a world away. I want to stay connected and keep my supporters informed. Some times I will be very busy and only update once in a while. Other times I might bore you with how much I have to say :) Just check back once in a while when you are thinking of me and see what I'm up to!

Funding the Mission

Every missionary has the dilemma of how to fund their work and what should be included in a budget.  For us, this is no different.  Christine has a working budget and if you would like to know what is included feel free to ask questions.  There is also a basic representation found in some of the FAQs.

Overall our basics are covered by regular monthly donors, but we welcome more so we can expand our ministry options and host special events.  To keep things running it currently (2021) takes about $1000 per month.  Once our house is built and we are established in Cagting we have plans for expansion as God lead and finances allow.  One time gifts are a tremendous help, but if you find that God is leading you to find a ministry to regularly give to it would be greatly appreciated.  Without dedicated givers, most missions would not be able to maintain their outreach and we are no different.

Below you will find the progress in raising the necessary funds as well as some options of how you can donate to this ministry.

Monthly Pledges:  50%

We are set currently, but only this far toward being able to sustain the growth we are aiming for.  We would like to have 35 churches, groups, families or individuals to support this need. Currently we have 16 partnerships! (Total- $1500-2000)

(Thermometer to come....)

Ministry Expansion: 18%

We are looking to build a small dorm and classrooms in Cagting.  The land adjoining ours is up for sale and we have an estimate of building costs. (Total- $10-12,000)

WAYS TO HELP RAISE THE NUMBERS!

1. You can direct mail a donation to the following address (private donations; not tax deductible):
           Christine Davenport
           1465 W Calle Del Mito
           Sahuarita, AZ  85629

2.  We are part of the Commission to Every Nation (CTEN) family!  They are a non-profit organization that has Evangelical Council For Financial Accountability (ECFA) accreditation as well as a four-star rating with Charity Navigator.  There are three ways to make a tax-deductible donation through CTEN and instructions are found below.

  • Checks made payable to Commission to Every Nation (or CTEN).  You should include a note indicating your preferences (*) for my ministry (Christine Davenport, Philippines).  These should be mailed to:  Commission to Every Nation     PO Box 291307       Kerrville, TX  78029-1307
  • Online using a credit card or automatic draft from your bank account.  Visit my personal link on CTEN's website: www.cten.org/christinedavenport/  Here you will find a "Donate" button.  This will take you through a step by step process to obtain the necessary information.
  • Call into CTEN's office.  You can call the main office in Kerrville, TX at 800-872-5404 and someone can help you through the process of donation via credit card or automatic draft from your bank account.
  • FYI: Contributions are made with the understanding that CTEN has complete discretion and control over all donated funds.  In practice, CTEN honors the donor's preferences for a particular ministry.
  • (*)  To protect your eligibility for a charitable tax deduction, please do not designate your contributions to me.  This means you should not write my name on the check!  The IRS may consider funds designated or restricted to specific individuals as a nondeductible personal gift, and not a charitable contribution to CTEN.

3.  This option is technically a way to lower the numbers.  If you would rather send items instead of money there are two location in the US that you can drop items off or mail them cheaper than you would be able to mail them to me in the field.  You can find a list of items on the link to "Ministry Needs" under resources on the left side of this page.
